As well as our main menu, we have a lovely selection of confectionery, crisps and homemade cakes available at the counter.

Please inform our Cafe staff before ordering of any allergens or other dietary requirements that you may have. A display board showing the 14 allergens is on display in front of the till.

Buy it Forward Scheme

Buying it forward is the act of buying something for someone you don’t know and may never even meet. Paying it forward can brighten someone’s day as well as help someone in a vulnerable financial situation.

In Englefield Green, there is still a struggling economic pocket alongside the prosperity that some of the village enjoy, and some visitors to The Village Centre Cafe are known to us as being in need or in vulnerable financial situations.

We like to help where we can and provide complimentary drinks & food, as well as a warm place to sit and chat. Our Buy it Forward Scheme means that when you buy something for yourself, you could also buy a second for someone else.

Let one of our Cafe staff know if you wish to purchase a Buy it Forward item or make a donation. We will log the purchase or donation to ensure it is available to someone who needs it.

Did you know our Cafe has play areas…..?

Children are so welcome at the Village Centre. We have two play areas within our Cafe that are targeted to the U7’s.

We have interactive toys to keep your little ones entertained from a model kitchen, workbench, shop and ball pit. You will find books, cars and smaller activity toys too.

There is no need to book and no charge to use our children’s play areas, however we ask that you purchase food and drinks from our Cafe rather than bringing your own.

It isn’t just families with children that visit our Cafe, so we would ask that children are supervised at all times and you help to keep the toys contained within the play areas as much as possible.

Our community Cafe is open Monday to Friday, from 9am till 2pm and until 5pm on Thursday. If you have any time spare during these hours, we would love to hear from you.

We are always looking out for new volunteers to help out in our community cafe. Duties include serving refreshments and food, making barista coffees and clearing tables. We have many regular customers into our Cafe, so part of your role will be to chat with them too!

All training needed will be provided!
